CONFERENCE PROGRAMME
Ocean Business 2025 is shaping up to be the biggest yet, with a larger exhibition and a packed two-day conference at the National Oceanography Centre (NOC) in Southampton, April 8-10.
Day one will feature keynote speakers like John Siddorn, NOC CEO, Andy Liddell from Defence Equipment and Support, and Commander Mark Butcher from Navy Develop, with the Society of Maritime Industries presenting its Business Person of the Year Award. After lunch, discussions will cover Future Skills for Ocean Technology and autonomous maritime systems. Panels will explore Space, the Marine Environment, and remote sensing.
Day two’s theme, “The Future of our Ocean,” will be chaired by BP’s Mark Poole, with talks on intelligent underwater acoustics, renewable energy surveys, and autonomous vehicles. Featured speakers include Ryan Mowat of RS Aqua, Adam Hamilton from MMA Offshore, and experts from the UK Centre for Seabed Mapping and the UK Hydrographic Office.

HIPS and SIPS version 12.1
Teledyne Geospatial is pleased to announce the release of CARIS HIPS and SIPS 12.1, with the introduction of new workflows for multiple frequency datasets and creating/managing vessel files. SuPR
McLane's newest eDNA sampler, the Suspended Particulate Rosette sampler (SuPR) collects up to 14 samples, pumped at 1000-2000 L per sample onto 142 mm, 0.22 µm (or larger) filters.
