Improvements in instrumentation to simplify water quality data collection in coastal environments
Biofouling, expensive instruments, and overly complex systems are all reasons remote monitoring is challenging. With new developments in instrument technology that address these challenges, new opportunity exists for affordable, expandable monitoring programs that reliably deliver accurate, actionable data. Here we discuss robust sensor features with easy data transmission and management designed to reduce field maintenance and provide an end-to-end solution for remote water quality monitoring.
