DESCRIPTION:Retrieving data from submerged sensors normally requires the sensors and loggers to be brought to the surface for offloading. As this process is expensive and time consuming\, it is carried out very infrequently thus greatly diminishing the usefulness of the data and possibly harmful as important events are missed. This also puts a significant constraint on the IoT sensor sector growth subsea. Hydromea will show how combining LUMA multi-modal communication technology combined with the portable EXRAY data mule and RBR’s cost effective sensing and logging products can provide an off-the-shelf solution for easy and frequent retrieval of subsea data.
