Fugro are recruiting for a Proposal Manager to join their leading geophysical survey department based in Portchester.

The Marine Geophysics team specialises in marine renewable and oil & gas projects. You’ll be responsible for writing tenders for geophysical projects world-wide whilst maintaining excellent relationships.

You’ll work closely with the Commercial Manager, discussing ongoing tenders and new opportunities, along with the project/technical team; supporting and inputting for tenders. Building a rapport with the other commercial teams within Fugro is essential in ensuring the best strategies.

 Typical day:
  • Acting as point of contact for production of proposals and input into Fugro Group tenders.
  • Preparing bid/no bid analysis and completing tender signoffs.
  • Forming bid strategy and producing highly technical proposals.
  • Evaluating technical and commercial risk, ensuring risks are accepted, managed, priced or transferred.
  • Conducting commercial and technical negotiation with clients.
  • Preparing subcontracts prior to tender handover.
 Who we need:

Essential

  • Strong technical background in geophysics or a related industry
  • Knowledge of commercial and tendering/estimating strong analytical skills
  • Strong communicator, team player and organiser with good time management
  • Strong computer literacy; especially Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint.

Desirable

  • Experience of working with international teams and understanding a variety of conditions of contract
