GHOST - Global Hidden Ocean Satellite Telemetry
Global Hidden Ocean Satellite Telemetry (GHOST) transmits instrument data files via satellite directly from sub-surface moorings. This ability to capture data prior to mooring recovery allows traditional subsea installations to become near real-time observation systems. GHOST automatically extends an antenna above the ocean surface and then lowers itself back to a hidden depth below.
